5th edition

October 2026 · our two-year anniversary

Our first camp took place in September 2024. We bring the community together twice a year, and every completed edition has sold out. In October 2026, we celebrate our fifth edition with four days of movement, learning and connection.

See moments from the community

Your first camp? You belong here.

Beginners, intermediate and advanced dancers are welcome. Come on your own or with friends: there is a place for you at Afro Jam.

Will beginners receive support?

Yes. Our teachers welcome questions and offer guidance within classes. Let your teacher know if you are new or need a movement explained again. Learn at your own pace and enjoy the process.

Can I come alone?

Absolutely. You can join independently or bring your friends. Classes, cyphers and community activities give you opportunities to meet and connect with other dancers.

Is there an age limit?

Our dance camp welcomes all ages, from younger dancers to older participants. Contact us if you have questions about a young participant or access to a particular evening venue.

Do I have to enter a battle or The Showdown?

No. Battles and The Showdown are optional. Enjoy the classes and community without competing, or choose the appropriate participant pass if you want to take part. Beginners and advanced dancers are welcome.

Who can help me before I book?

Email afrojamdancecamp@hotmail.com with questions about classes, passes or your visit. We want you to feel comfortable and prepared.
